A few months ago I was listening to a podcast, I remembered it as Citations Needed but it could have been another adjacent one, where they interviewed someone from Electronic Intifada about NYT’s journalistic malfeasance around the article “Screams Without Words”. I’ve been looking for it and can’t find it.

The part that stuck out to me the most was the mother of a daughter who was used as a puppet for these lies saying “she was only killed” and talking about what a miserable situation it is to be saying such a thing.

I just searched “Electronic Intifada” in my podcast app and this is everything post 2023-12. All have Ali from Electronic Intifada on:

I think RWN-429 is your best bet. Really surprised I didn’t see a Citations Needed ep. Most results pre 2024-12 were Citations Needed though.

I appreciate the effort and will look into the RWN episodes!

There’s numerous podcast takedowns of it, many feature Electronic Intifada. I don’t know how to filter for that scene you mentioned.

You couldn’t possibly filter for it, I was just hoping someone might remember hearing it themselves, like when people go “Which Chapo episode was it where Matt said x?”

Oh you wanted the podcast and not the article. Uh, can’t find it either.
