I know it’s just me being thick, but what’s the play on words here? Sausage and mash on a flood… Bangers and mash on a wet motorway…

I’m missing the gag xD

Not a clue!

I thought it was sausage and cheese. Maybe it’s bangers and mash - splash (pretty surely that’s not normal cockney and still doesn’t make sense anyway)
