For someone that says he isn’t pro-eugenics, Mike Judge certainly made a very pro-eugenics movie. It’s simply undeniable, whatever his intentions.
A common criticism of Idiocracy is that it’s most appreciated by some of the people it purports to mock, faux intellectuals. I don’t think it’s a coincidence how many of its most fervant online supporters lack the intellectual honesty to admit such an obvious fact.
Jedi are supposed to be incredibly rare, about 10,000 in a galaxy of quadrillions. It’s perfectly reasonable to be skeptical of them (Other than the ten thousand years of historical proof of space wizards doing cool shit with physical records).
However, Lucas hates math, so, like, a couple million clones can fight this war, right? Now this one cog actually probably did meet a Jedi because the only universe worse at reconciling feasible reality with background details is 40k.
The EU actually did a really good job of explaining this attitude with an Imperial propaganda campaign that painted the Jedi as frauds running the Republic from the shadows, justifying both the skepticism and the purge to the citizens. RIP.
What makes a good STEM program is usually dependent on both the student and the exact discipline they want. My university had a great engineering department and great wildlife management program, but good luck to you if you want biochemistry.
Other than that? Just avoid the Neoconfederacy. They’ve even done us all the favor of trying to outlaw abortion, and there are plenty of infographics that can show you the no-go states.
Excellent, call it what it is, an alliance against fascism. An Anti-fascist organization, if you will.
Now we just need to make sure Germany doesn’t declare war. Again.
