He’s never running for office again, his reputation is already trashed as the dementia riddled genocidaire, he’s probably going to keel over dead in the next 18 months, why not take advantage of the lame duck session and do a solid for his son? There’s literally no downside for him
It’s not like he can take it with him, he just needs a coin or two to pay the boatman (which he meets soon).

He was convicted of illegal firearm possession I believe, and some other corruptions stuff
this case is making me lose hope that they’ll ever realize it’s so stupid to make it illegal to own a gun if you smoke weed
