Preferably a historic drama but open to whatever. Workplace situational comedy would be outta control but I sense a dearth of those

Taboo (2017 TV series) is a fantastic 1814 period piece staring Tom Hardy dealing with The East India Company, both overseas and back in merry ole. It was so good, I’ve been waiting for a second season for 7 years.

Was looking for this. Taboo. Watch taboo. Tom hardy smack dab in the middle of a war for power between the east India trading company, the royal crown and the new American government. Constantly shifting alliances to keep atop it while manifesting his own end game. It. Is. Phenomenal.

Also, obligatory, “I have a use for you!”.

I have nothing fictional, just a recommendation for an excellent podcast about it called “Empire”

Yeah, I’ve just got the book “Enemy of All Mankind” which is about the period of time when the East India Co. was just getting going. Apparently that time intersects with three big shifts: the first international pirate manhunts, the start of the British Empire, and the creation of the corporation. It tells a crazy story and I absolutely loved it

For another arm of the empire, try Frontier - which focuses on Hudson’s Bay Company.
