I’m pretty sure we have regulations preventing flying vehicles from going below a floor altitude over municipal areas. Most air vehicles are too loud to fly low or land outside airport zones

I would be surprised if this vehicle is given exception, though it’d be way cool if they solved the noise problem.

Oh absolutely. I’m more excited by the tech than the application. Or at least find it interesting.

i dont think the world is ready for that - not unless the police have them first.

And that’s how you get kamikaze attacks on low-income neighborhoods.

Found the policeman who wants a free flying patrol car!

lol.

no seriously - like, those scenes from the 5th element - if we dont have antigrav buoys acting as lane markers in the sky & flying police cars to enforce them, then allowing the public (well, the uber wealthy) to buy and operate flying cars is just asking for trouble.

I give it 2 weeks before flying cars kill someone, probably an innocent bystander.

safe and enjoyable flight

Hahah with eight unshielded decapitators spinning thousands of revolutions per minute. Also don’t expect this to fly further than 10 or so minutes. Battery weight to energy ratio is atrocious. And you aren’t flying near cities with this, rest assured of that.

The fully-electric vehicle is a low-speed vehicle that can be driven up to 200 miles on public roads and fits into a regular garage, but it can also launch vertically into the air with a flying range of 110 miles.

Doubt on both of those metrics. That range is comparable to Hyundai Ioniq5 for example and its battery is about 600kg. Flying requires far more energy than driving. This is also not going to be used for regular transport. Some rich people might use it to scoot around their estate but I doubt you’ll see it flying over highway.
