Like there is the Official Mastodon app for Mastodon, and Element app for Matrix, which app is considered the most official lemmy app for Android [possibly also for ios]
Or atleast, the app which supports most(if not all) the features available in Lemmy
Jerboa is the official Android app made by Lemmy’s developers. Unfortunately it’s a bit buggy and they don’t have the time to focus on it because they’re busy with the web version of Lemmy already. It’s still very usable though.
“A bit buggy” is quite the understatement. Elemental things like editing text in the input box (like deleting words or characters that are mistyped) cause completely unexpected things to happen to the text. I would not call it usable by a long shot.
Yeah the post is an interesting question because the “official” app isn’t as polished as you might expect it to be.
Lemmy apps are interesting in that they are all so different that you need to just try a few and find one you like.
Me personally, I like Sync, but I’ve also tried Thunder, Jerboa, and Liftoff. Each has their pros and cons, and you’ve just got to try them out and can’t really rely on “most official” as a good metric
Jebora seems to have this very annoying and deal breaking bug that makes it difficult for me to use it
none of them.
i’ve heard that jerboa is from the same devs as lemmy, if that is ‘official’ for you.
i personally use sync, but just because i’ve used it for reddit and i like the interface.
Eternity is nice, it’s a fork of Infinity the Reddit client.
I currently use it, it just doesnt seem to have notifications or it could be I messed up something
Under ‘Inbox’ it shows Replies, Mentions and Messages. Seems to work okay here?
It does, not push notifications when not using the app like Infinity for Reddit does
I’ve been pretty happy with Voyager.
Connect isn’t bad. They can’t seem to get blur right (currently must have “NSFW” stamped on it) and sometimes a refresh causes some kind of weird looping of content, but beyond that it’s stable and had good features.
