In case anyone wanted the non-beta or couldn’t get in because TestFlight was full, this just popped in about an hour ago.
Congratulations to the dev team!
Hey all. Replying from .world since…well you guys know.
Anyway, thank you for all your support over the past weeks. It’s helped us get to this point.
A word of caution: The build that was released is slightly outdated and there are a few issues that have already been addressed in that build. Unfortunately because you can’t replace the build in review, we were not able to update it as we went through this nearly week-long back and forth with Apple. It required an appeal to get us onto the store.
With that said, I’ll be releasing the final version of 0.0.2 tonight to TestFlight, and will begin build versioning starting at 0.1.0, which will be the next release on the store. I’ll try and have something submitted to them tonight and hopefully it will be reviewed and released within a day or so.
Cheers!
I don’t even own an iOS device but I’m delighted that you and so many other devs have gone so hard at putting different apps out there.
They may not all take off, and users will likely graduate to a handful because of power laws and whatnot but that doesn’t matter right now: you guys are shipping and you’re giving us options. You all rock!
Any say to magnify font or change a bit layout? Feels cramped on an iPhone mini
There are some options for font size, font weight, etc. inside of the settings.
Maybe they’re alluding to the BeeHaw defederation because that’s where they’re normally from?
/shrug
Oh ok. I didn’t know they were from beehaw. Make sense then. They’re the super private one that’s blocking other servers right
Replying with the Memmy for Lemmy iOS app. It seems to work fine.
I’ve been beta testing since day one - which was only 22 days ago. It’s amazing how great this app has gotten in such a short time.
I entered the TestFlight of Memmy, Mlem, Thunder and Liftoff!, and Memmy impressed me with the speed of development, stability, and feature addition. I love it.
Mlem is a close second, but it lacks QOL details that Memmy got right from the start. The other two are still at alpha level, but all of them are improving steadily.
The Fediverse, its ecosystem, and the passion developers and admins pour into it, it feels like an alternate Internet reality, but a better reality for a change.
I’ve also tried several betas and Memmy has been my personal favorite since nearly day one (first build didn’t have dark mode, haha, but like 12 hours later there was a second build with dark mode and I’ve been here ever since). And the devs are amazing.
This is an exciting time. I know the fediverse has been around for a while but it still feels like getting on the ground floor of something both brand new and also harkening back to the old internet. It’s awesome.
Hey, there’s a username I recognize. Beta tester since day one for me too. I agree, the growth this app has seen is incredible
Hey cod, yeah we’ve been pestering poor Gavin and Sean and Teflo and everyone else for weeks, but this is a huge milestone day!
Already was using it in TestFlight, but needed to download it to rate it in the App Store.
This one’s been the best of the iOS clients I’ve seen with wefwef coming in distant second. Excited that it’s officially released now. Congrats to Gavin and all his hard work!
In case anyone didn’t see — the App Store version is slightly outdated from the current version in TestFlight. The dev (Gavin) posted about it a little while ago on this same thread
I’m probably going to hold off ‘til he gives the all clear on TestFlight but still exciting
