PC was all I had. Commander Keen and Duke Nukem (original, not 2 or 3D) were my go-to games for a long while.

Mine was the PS2. Ratchet and Clank, Ace Combat and Metal Gear Solid were my favorites

Same with Ratchet & Clank on PS2 for me. Also, Midnight club 3 dub edition was so fun.

Need for Speed Most Wanted was my JAM in 2005 or so. That game was just so damn cool. It made me want an E46 M3 GTR for basically all of my childhood.

I only got to truly experience Red Alert recently with the remake. My first taste of it was on PS1, and I remember it being pretty clunky. Come to think of it that was the first RTS I ever played

I went back and forth between my SNES and N64. SNES was better for RPGs and a lot of 2D action games, but the N64 was much better for multiplayer/party games. If I had to pick one, I’d probably go SNES, but it was close.

I remember being like 5 years old and my grandfather (who built the PC for us and would later take me to computer shows) made a β€œcheat sheet” for me telling me how to β€œcd” etc in order to find and run my games

I had a copy of DOS for Dummies. super helpful, the official manual for MSDOS 5.0 was really dry/uninteresting
