I’m only horrified for all the non-human life we’re continuing to decimate on the way out.

Humans don’t even seem to tolerate one another as we recklessly decimate this world with technologies we’re just smart enough to develop and then immediately use with the same consideration for consequences as a monkey being handed a loaded shutgun, supposedly in humanity’s name.

You want us to survive so we can keep a perpetual underclass subsisting in misery? So we can point fingers and call this group and that nation and this gender and that race the problem over and over and over? We are the problem, sorry. Long term, our self-destruction will be a W for the Earth. It will take millions of years, but our mother will eventually clean up our mess we left behind, and continue on like we never existed.

And from my perspective and decades of observation, that is for the best, including for our “everything will be great, once those humans I don’t like are shown their place” in perpetuity species.

I voted for Clinton with a funeral dirge in my heart at an empty polling place. Then I voted for Biden.

I despise Neoliberals. I’m a socialist. If I can swallow my pride and volunteer to be fucked with no lube instead of being hit by a fascist freight train yet again, you can too.

That said, this country is over, Rejecting the Reagan giveaway was the last chance to begin righting this ship now halfway under water from decades of celebrated antisocial avarice made legal. I’m voting Biden to minimize needless cruelty and scapegoating of vulnerable groups as we collapse from capitalist greed rot and firesale. That is the extent of our vote’s power as our owners bought both parties on economic policy allegiance decades ago, so be kind with it.

We don’t need to collapse AND have our chosen Nero in the white house using their bully pulpit to blame it on everyone from undocumented immigrants to pregnant women to lgbtq, etc and getting them murdered in the streets for what Wall Street profiteers, safe in their guarded towers and luxury bunkers, have wrought.

The impending food shortages and mass homelessness crises will be bad enough.

No war but class war.

All the the social issues we want to kill one another over are either CAUSED BY or greatly EXACERBATED BY the economic war we have fully lost.

Example: if the anti-abortion people actually wanted fewer abortions, they’d fight for UBI and living wages, as abortion is very often, correctly an economic decision, but we’re only permitted a vote on the symptoms, not the cause, the massive owner class grift we call our economy. This is true for basically every social wedge to varying extents.

Want fewer prisoners? Want fewer homeless? Want fewer drug addicts, want fewer suicides, want better healthcare outcomes, want public Schools that aren’t embarrassing? Cut the mega yacht class down to earth and feed the commons, which include the social supports Reagan/bush/clinton spent decades eviscerating into today’s ruins.
