Spain doesn’t hold a candle to german procrastination. Cologne Dome took over 600 years to complete* ^*like all cathedrals it’s in constant state of repair and never truly complete.^

The first part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy for PS5 came in 2 discs and so will the second part, as confirmed by Sony. All major Nintendo Switch releases come on cartridges aswell. I mean I buy my PC games digitally since forever, but physical games aren’t actually dead at all.

For real. Looks like speedrunning digging one owns grave is becoming hella popular in silicon valley as of late. Everyone wants to set a new record.

Yeah. In the beginning I was like “sure mods, let’s start with protests, maybe that’ll do something and if it doesn’t… well it was nice while it lasted”. But to think that some mods are still trying to negotiate after Reddit admins smeared their snoo poo on everything they engaged with the past couple of weeks. Sheesh, some people really have no idea when to call it quits. How can they be this power hungry? It’s just self degrading at this point.

This is the real question we have to ask ourselves. We really need to move away from looking at the internet as just a resource to extract money from, and instead see it through a social lense again. Look what late stage capitalism has done to our digital, social gathering places. Almost everything has become a product that needs to be profitable, to compete for attention and to extract as much data from users as possible and discourse has suffered greatly from it. I mean billions are donated to content creators simply because people want to contribute. Why stop there? We can shape the internet the way we want if we simply contribute and put our heads together. We don’t have to make a profit. That’s our strength.

What’s up with CEO’s messing with social media companies

I have some theories but they all boil down to: They openly despise us commoners. Maybe this will prompt public services to take better care of their websites. It would be a welcoming change.

Companies are becoming even more greedy recently across the board and at a rapid pace. Some people would want you to believe Youtube wouldn’t generate billions of dollars as income annually for Alphabet for some reason. But the truth is the platform is extremely profitable already. Youtube simply wants even more now because competition has done the same. We’ve seen prices spiraling up and quality dropping in pretty much all sectors of the economy and this trend will continue for the forseeable future.

In short: Because they can (some are really stretching their boundaries, though)
