That’s kind of why they are successful though, right? They were the ones that figured out how to supply games digitally for a profit, which required a way to prevent people from sharing the product for free. This was previously done with CD keys, but the advent of the internet rendered that mostly ineffective.
There are historical accounts of volcanic activity blocking the sky, I think in Europe, for a few years. For all we know it was the whole planet. That would definitely disrupt solar energy collection without being an extinction level event.
Diversity is a genuine factor of fossil fuel free energy generation.
Me too, especially because I love Commandos. Timekeepers doesn’t have even half the amount of elegance in its level design. Half the enemies are standing still facing the wall with no-one else around; at that point why bother placing an enemy there at all?
It’s mind boggling that this was originally supposed to be a single release game. Ok, so they blew past the deadline, and they made the interesting choice of releasing half of it, with the rest free later. At some point they must have realised that can’t work because then they are just spending more money to get the game finished after they’ve already taken profits. So now they’ve come up with the idea of season passes in the hopes that one day the sales will catch up to development costs. But they are doing so badly that the rest of the first game needs beta testing? The second half that was supposed to be released for free in April? Sucks to be whoever invested capital in this project.
I think one of those nice Attenborough documentaries. Wasn’t there one that showcased the Earth? Seems like a nice gesture to put that forward.
