So does Australia with its lobbied mining industry. Also Germany is close to reaching 50% renewables, surpassing Australia in their emission goals by at least several years

Cool I guess. Doesn’t matter cause at the end of the day, electric stoves (esp induction) are still far superior to gas and definitely do not break the grid as above article claims.

So Americans reject logic because… feelings?

Get with the program, every other country historically used different ways of measuring things and eventually managed to make the switch.

Pretty good. My mum’s living in Shanghai (most populous city in China) and has been a pensioner for 20 years. It’s enough money to get by and now that she’s 70 she also receives monthly coupons for her neighbourhood canteen (although food is already very cheap)

Keep in mind China has a much tighter family structure where children look after their elderly parents (and often live under the same roof), and in return grandparents provide free childcare so both parents are able to work full time. Nursing homes are not incredibly common but it might become a bigger problem as more and more young people move away from their family in the countryside to work in the bigger cities.

People act like they’re being forced to use Sync when there are decent alternatives. Sync just happens to currently have the best layout/user interface with tons of customisation.

Whether or not that’s worth paying money for is up to each individual but I can’t stand the constant complaining. Either deal with ads or don’t use it if you don’t like it 👍

And people still think Sync is overhyped. This is pure awesomeness

$20 to get rid of ads forever on an app that you use daily is a fair price. No one gets lynched for subscribing to YouTube premium for $14/mo just to get rid of ads
