I’m pretty “stupid” as well when it comes to online literacy, it’s definitely challenging me to use Lemmy (I’m on Jerboa right now, gonna try some other apps like Wefwef and Sync when it comes out to see how I like them) but I really like the community and the potential here. I’m gonna have to learn how to do a lot of new things here, like figure out the extent of where my log in works, how to organize the instances I want to go to and be a part of, and how to search through this content. But I’d rather get on the ball now so I can fully integrate and leave Reddit behind. It already felt like a cesspool before Spez did his thing, and it’s getting worse by the minute now that the 3rd party apps are down
Not entirely sure, and I’ve since committed to Wefwef over Jerboa because it’s more user friendly. What I did to overcome the login issue on Jerboa was to go to lemmy.world and register my username and login on that instance. After I was registered there, Jerboa picked up my login and I could comment and interact.
As a Floridian beach/park goer who is totally fed up with DeSantis’ bullshit, I gotta say nothing gives me more satisfaction than to vote Democrat every election. Marching and protesting will do little to nothing here, we have to quash this fascism with our votes. Desantis hit poor black voters with felonies over fraudulent voter fraud charges (the charges brought had no merit) so I have no doubt he would mobilize police forces to give out felonies to any and all Dem voters that march or protest. I’m gonna rip this cancer out from the inside.
So I was wondering what this meant as far as additional responsibilities that Nick is taking on with this role, and I found this article: https://www.executive-vp.com/executive-vp-of-football-operations/
Seems like he will be responsible for cohesion between coaches and front office staff and players, spending time with all to make sure things run smoothly. He’s responsible for making sure players are obeying rules and not getting suspended, and are healed fully before returning from injury. He’s more involved in the financial side of operations. All thing that I feel he kind of did anyways, but now has the title and probably pay increase for it.
Side note: remember earlier this year when people thought Nick might get fired? I, for one, never believed it, but this move seems to even further cement his status within the organization.
I just finished the Behind the Bastards podcast on Vagrancy. the destruction of the third place and destroying the ability to be anywhere for free without being hassled by the law has changed a part of America that was great. The freedom to exist is becoming elusive. The freedom to find common space with like minded people, that’s becoming hard to find too. I hope this place helps.
