I live in Tennessee and I’ve had 2 coworkers tell me, independently of one another, that Nazis got a “raw deal” and that, and I quote, “their opinions are just as relevant” as Democrat opinions.
These are guys who go to church and like to brag about how über Christian they are while simultaneously saying that Texans should be allowed to legally open fire on immigrants. Lincoln was too light on the South and Andrew Johnson was so shitty that he openly tried to benefit the postbellum Southerners.
The South continues to prove that it didn’t deserve the reconstruction. Imagine if Germans allowed pieces of shit to openly fly swastika flags and proclaim that “The Reich will rise again.”
That’s what we’re up against here. Every single day I see the “rebel” flag being flown and celebrated and about once a month I hear someone in public talking about how there should be a rebellion. They legitimately believe that they can fight off the United States military and their rationale is that “The government won’t open fire on its own citizens” so they can just attack unabated.
It’s fucking banana sandwiches in this shit hole.
I’ve purposely forgotten about the Alamo just out of spite.
A few years ago, my electric bill jumped from about $100/month to over $350. I called the local utilities commission and they told me that they could come out and do a “survey” of my appliances but if their guy determined that the bill was my fault, I’d have to pay $100 as a “service call.”
The guy essentially walked into my house and just pointed at every appliance and said what it was, told me that my refrigerator was the culprit, then handed me a bill for $100.
This utilities commission is still adding $20 a month to people’s electric bill for a “solar research” charge and they’ve not made a single investment into solar in the 20 years that they started adding that fee. They still burn diesel to generate power.
Edit: My point is, electricity could certainly be less of an expense, but because it’s treated as a commodity instead of a necessity, power companies know they can price gauge.
The absolute gall of both landlords and rental agencies to charge $2k a month for a rat nest of an apartment and then put in the lease that you have to make 3 times that much just to be considered…I don’t know anyone that makes $6k a month. Corporations are lobbying as hard as they can to keep wages as low as they possibly can…
It’s far beyond time for a national walkout. Shut this shit down hard.
Why in the actual fuck has she not been even interviewed by the feds about her placing “devices” on the night before January 6th?
The walk, the mannerisms… I’d put money down that it was her. Yet she is still walking free and talking shit about the people who should be taking her in for questioning about it, at very least.
My boss is a massive Covid denier. The local radio station today (in the deep South) read a report that Covid cases were higher in the South and the Midwest.
He had some smartass comment about masks and I reminded him that the places where mask mandates were lifted had higher rates of Covid. He dismissed the report out of hand and called the report, from his own source, to be “propaganda.”
I legitimately believe that if people want to not wear a mask they forfeit medical treatment. Let Darwin solve this for all.
Because rent is $2000/month and most places require proof that you make 3 times that amount.
I’ve never met any motherfucker that makes $6k a month, Joe. Most of us are living paycheck to paycheck.
It’s getting increasingly more difficult to give a shit about the social contract when people like Elon Musk have all the fucking money and the rest of us would starve if we got sick.
Fuck.
