I dont really understand this. Does tiktok have a group call feature now? Or are they equating short form videos of strangers to “hanging out”?

People have more or less completely forgotten that vampires are meant to represent the monstrosity of an unchecked aristocracy/wealthy upper class. They sold their souls for power and now live exclusively by feeding off those beneath them. You don’t just ‘become’ a vampire like you don’t just ‘become’ rich. You can certainly become enthralled to a vampire though

A professor once accused me of cheating because he mixed up my project with another students, marked that students project twice, and assumed i copied them… Acedemia is not always the place of enlightenment people imagine…

Honestly its bizzare that the original phrase gets said so often. There aren’t really that many scenarios in history where “hard times” didn’t just lead to corrupt people making times harder.

You know how when you’re studying literature you’re generally supposed to assume that everything is intenional and there’s nothing just thrown in for no reason … Well when you read Joyce, it’s really really hard not to feel like he’s just doing things for the sake of being pretentious and obtuse.

A while ago I slighted the darksouls fans on here and the next day I noticed that every comment I had ever made had extra downvotes on them

Listen imma level with you bro, if they are genuinely calling it “toilet to tap”, and you dont get why people might find that a little off-putting, then i dont think this thread has anything for you.

Boy that would seriously mess with the narrative of this comment section if that were the case

I would love it if publications could just limit their headlines to one misleading term per story. The rocks are a ‘city’? Sure. The geysers looks like ‘spiders’? I guess. But when you start putting them together in the same headline it feels like your breaking the fourth wall or something
