It was several months back so don’t get your hopes up, but I’ll see if I can find it in my history!

You can send a message through the town crier but it has to be under 280 characters.

Why is there an explicit rule that you have to include usernames for screenshots from hexbear? Are we really that well known?

I actually think this is really important praxis. If you make media of any sort, your primary goal should be to make people question their underlying assumptions about capitalism. We should be making more games that lead people to Marxist conclusions.

My ex was from a military family and so I’ve spent more time in Fayetteville than I’d like to recall. Every third building is a strip club and the townies all refer to the historic district as “the slave market” out of nostalgia. Even in the suburbs you still get the distinct feeling that you’re about to get human trafficked.

This is the most frustrating part about trying to discuss this subject in good faith. Whether or not I think a multipolar world order is a good thing is so much less interesting of a conversation than how the world might change in response to that reality.

An alcohol-free arcade would be heaven because all of the most obnoxious people would be over at the barcade down the road.

Y’all have no idea how much it means to me that I am nowhere close to being on this list.

I don’t mean to criticize you for posting this because it’s absolutely worth examining, but I feel like using c/dunktank to explore this topic is almost a form of punching down. It’s nothing to do with the content of your post - it’s just that this guy is clearly suffering from some sort of mental health episode and reaching out for support.

Like I said, it’s a good topic. I just don’t think we should frame it as a dunk.

Also, hear them out when they start talking about unhinged conspiracy theories. It costs you nothing, makes your driver happy and gives you a funny story to share with your friends.

My last Uber driver told me we’d reaches the apex of human technology three times already but we lost it all due to human arrogance. My friend who was riding with me thanked me for handling the small talk and of course I took the praise, but I actually loved every second of that conversation. At least the topic is more interesting than the weather or what someone does for work.
