I am principally opposed to what is going on with Reddit. But to be honest, I am much more practically opposed to using it without a third party app. Hence I have only just gotten around to join Lemmy now. If I wasn’t on vacation and had a bunch of time right now, I probably wouldn’t have joined until after the apps stopped working.

I expect that the practical reality of not being able to use your preferred Reddit app (which is still hours away) is going to be a big motivator compared to everything else leading up to this.

I am pretty sure I read that all traffic is proxied through wefwef servers. It has to be this way due to lemmys (lack of) CORS settings. I think there is some work towards changing this.

How does Lemmy have more avenues for admin abuse than Reddit? On either platform, the admins can technically do whatever they want. (Including editing users posts, spez). Lemmy makes it easier to just go somewhere else. At the end of the day that is all you can do.

The wrapper is not symmetrical. You can consistently define a left and right bar of a given Twix in an unambiguous way.

How is this different from normal the normal Euro. I seem to be able to use these digitally just fine. That is without even living in a euro zone country. Various digital payment services just makes thing work. also I know that actual printed cash is a vanishingly small amount of euros in circulation anyway.
