Also nochmal zum mitschreiben: Weil es einen Nutzer gibt, der Scat Porn spammt, etwas was der Admin von ShitJustWorks selber auf dem Schirm hat und sowohl durch erneutes bannen, als auch das entwickeln von Moderierungstools bekämpft, kann ich mit meinem Main Account jetzt auf alle deutschsprachugen communities nicht mehr zugreifen? Danke für nix. Sowas macht mir das Fediverse kaputt.
Du hast nie was davon gesehen, weil das erstens nie upgevoted wird und zweitens vom Admin von shitjustworks selber entfernt wird. Aber weil Herr Admin von feddit.de wohl nicht damit umgehen kann, dass er auch ein paar reports bezüglich des Spams abkriegt, ist natürlich die einzig mögliche Reaktion darauf einfach mal die gesamte Instanz zu deföderieren. /s für die, die es brauchen
The fediverse keeps sabotaging itself with instances defederating left and right, that way it’ll never become an alternative regular user would want to join.
Anyone that is interested in discussions on either defederated community, will create an account for both.
And that is the reason why reddit is still growing. If you are required to make multiple accounts just to engage with the communities you want to engage with, Lemmy is no better than separate forums. And those all got overshadowed by reddit for a reason.

Either way, you won’t convert anyone by attacking them. If you want Lemmy to be able to replace proprietary social media platforms, which is something I want, you have to meet the users’ expectations. The expectation for Lemmy is a Reddit-like experience. But with the fracturing of Lemmy into instances that block each other, normal user will simply stay on Reddit.
My Firefox tells me that the server tried to redirect me in a way my browser could never finish its request. I guess a configuration error is what is happening right now.
Die aktuellen Machtstrukturen. Die treffen nicht nur die jungen Männer, aber ich schätze mal, dass sich die jungen Männer betroffen fühlen. Sie sehen sich um in der Gesellschaft, wer ihnen helfen könnte oder ihnen Änderung verspricht und da finden die nicht viel. Die Linken sind zu sehr damit beschäfftigt Minderheiten zu stärken oder sich selbst zu zerfleischen, die Zentristen sind entweder abwägend zurückhaltend oder am Status Quo interessiert und dann bleiben halt nur die Rechten.
Ich bin der Meinung, dass das Problem weniger Bewegungen sind, die sich für Minderheiten einsetzen, sondern eher das Fehlen von einer (gesellschaftlich akzeptierten) Bewegung, die sich für (junge) Männer einsetzt.
Meiner Einschätzung nach gibt es einen guten Grund, warum (der alte) Jordan Peterson oder das Men’s Rights Movement in den USA so viel Zuspruch gefunden hat: Weil diese sich daran versuchen, sich die Probleme, die (junge) Männer haben, vorzunehmen.

This is an issue on Lemmy as well, one that very few so far seem to have wisened up to. If you host a server and federate it, your server will pull, store and display the content your users are watching for all to see. So you could be on the hook for distributing illegal material if you don’t preemptively defederate from instances potentially hosting content that is illegal for you to possess.
