As someone who probably has had a similar amount of professional success with getting jobs cold, you just dont see the LACK of meritocracy. I know I wouldnt’ve been hired to several of my jobs if my name wasnt so white. You get to know hiring managers after enough time. Just because the is a minimun set of skills required for a job does not mean meritocracy exists.

The lib part of my brain had an idea. What if you could set up campaign donation funds that only get relesed to the candidate for certain policy promises ( i mean they can just break them). Im imagining crowdfunding some sort of “stop the genocide” campaign fund that grows as people donate and is only donated once the candidate vocally supports x policies, or say 'condemn the genocide using the word ‘genocide’. If candidate doesnt do the thing everyones money gets refunded.

I mean it IS worse to deliberately quote hitler rather than on accident.
