They’ve had 4 years to get shit done that nobody could argue with, but they didn’t. Instead, they took a hard right turn in the campaign (Gaza, border policy, “muscular military”, etc). Predictably, this didn’t " energize the base".

Democrat leadership decided fascism was preferable to any capital concessions to the working class. It wasn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last.
