I have Nebula but it kinda sucks. Content is too narrow and too US focussed. I really want a YouTube alternative but until they start to let more creators on the platform, not sure this is it.

Are you confusing farmers with farm labourers? One runs a highly specialist business, one just needs to pick strawberries.

It could also lead to a human version of “Paris Syndrome” where people AI Undress their crush, only to be sorely disappointed when the real thing is not as good.

If only that cost could somehow be included in the price of the food and not reliant upon a voluntary donation from the customer as a % of the bill.

Strawman. Unskilled /= low pay. High supply of workers/candidates vs. demand is what makes the pay low.

There are plenty unskilled jobs that are relatively well paid because, for whatever reason, not enough people want to do them. Painter/Decorator for example, how hard is it to paint a wall.

Reminds me of the time I got a quiz question wrong; who was the first Man on the Moon.

I wasn’t born, but everything I’ve ever read said it was Neil Armstrong, so that’s what I answered.

The idiot quiz master said it was Buzz Aldrin (the second man). In disbelief, I tried to educate them of their error, only for the rest of the room, mainly boomers, to tell me I was wrong. Including one guy in his 80s who said “It was definitely Buzz. I watched it when it happened. I remember it well”.

I asked him “who said the famous ‘one small step for man’?”

Him: “Ahh yes, Now that was Armstrong.”

Me: “Surely Buzz would say those words if he was the first one out. I mean there is literally video of the event. You even watched it live”

Him: “Yes, it’s Armstrong in the video. But Buzz was definitely first out. Who do you think was holding the camera?”

YouTube have worked really hard this year to help people balance their media consumption with real life.

Everytime I am confronted with another irritating YouTube advert I close the App and say “Thanks YouTube. You are right, I didn’t need to watch a detailed unboxing review for a product I neither want, nor need to know exists. I will do something in the real world and try you again in an hour”

I now find myself thinking twice before even opening the App.

Even better on my PC, because I use AdBlockers, YouTube doesn’t even let me waste my time, even when I want to.
