I wonder if the Saudi league could ever be considered a proper league or if will be like the Chinese league where some big names went for big money but it never really went to the next level.

in liverpoolfc@lemmy.world•[Pearce] Thiago is the subject of serious interest from Saudi Arabia and has already turned down one lucrative offer. His current plan is to stay at #LFC for final year of his contract.

I’ve only recently heard he’s on quite big wages. I love the man but wouldn’t hate it if he ended up leaving this window. By the same token he still has plenty to offer so wouldn’t hate it if he stayed either!
