Time is money. Training all of the staff needed to manage not just one system in multiple areas, but multiple systems in multiple areas is a horrible idea. Sure for a one off issue like this it would save your bacon. But how often does this really happen?

It may still balloon limited to 80%, but it’s far FAR less likely.

Lithium ion batteries are happiest at about 40% charged so if you’re storing them that’s about where you’d want to change them to. 100% charged isn’t very good for them, and 0% is VERY bad for them.

As far as I’m aware it’s currently limited to the iPhone 15 (because Apple) but you have auto, always limited, and off.

Thank fuck. Anyone who ever thinks it should be “off” or “automatic” with no option for “always on” should be shot. Automatic is fine for a default, but let people force it on or off, and let them pick the limits (within reason).

If I could limit my phones that are plugged in 24/7 to 60% I’d be so happy. If Apple is beating you in user choice then you’ve done something horrendously wrong.

Found it.

I can’t find a picture of the PCB though, that might have been a leak pre reveal and now that it’s revealed good luck finding it.

Nvidia’s tensor cores are inside the GPU, this was outside the GPU, but on the same card (the PCB looked like an abomination). If I remember right in total it used slightly less power, but performed about 30% faster than normal DLSS.

But instead of relying on the GPU to power it the dedicated AI chip did the work. Like it had it’s own distinct chip on the graphics card that would handle the upscaling.

I forget who demoed it, and searching for anything related to “AI” and “upscaling” gets buried with just what they’re already doing.

Someone did a demo recently of AI acceleration for 3d upscaling (think DLSS/AMDs equivilent) and it showed a nice boost in performance. It could be useful in the future.

I think it’s kind of a ray tracing. We don’t have a real use for it now, but eventually someone will figure out something that it’s actually good for and use it.

Nair, a chemical hair remover, works by breaking down the protein bonds that hold hair together beneath the skin’s surface.

If mr AI Overview is to be trusted, then it won’t work.

Keurig makes a reusable coffee pod and it actually works fairly well. All of the other reusable pods are garbage.

IMO the taste using a basic bitch mr coffee is still better, but if I just want 1 cup I don’t want to waste enough beans to make a full sized mr coffee brew something nice.
