You are supposed to trim ornamental grasses down to the ground each winter. They annually grow from the roots and last year’s growth can crowd itself out, killing the plant.

That “bush” in the picture 100% looks like it’s an ornamental grass, not sure why you are mentioning lawns.

Also, why are you taking time to undercut my advice? I given a split of ornamental grass similar to the one in the picture and it grew well all year only to die the next spring because I didn’t know you are supposed to cut them back.

Great for you but the ornamental grass in the picture died in the center. You can see parts of the outside clump are alive and survived dormancy, but the center died because that is where there’s the least sunlight.

I understand these plants did fine before man came along but now they are growing in some suburb in Texas and the climate has gone to shit. A simple pruning will greatly help a plant like this out of dormancy. As long as you wait until after the last frost, pruning away dead grass off a clump will only help, never hurt the plant.

The human mind evolved around family or tribe members who’s trust in one another was required for survival.

We aren’t well equipped to deal with mass media, most of whom are greed driven. I think humans do a good job at analyzing statements that are 100% truth or 100% lies. But when things get mixed, it gets iffy.

Charlatans understand this. They are priming people by saying truthy things followed immediately by lies to manipulate what people believe is real.

Imagine the Greeks never building a Trojan horse, they just waited outside the gate. Then the Trojans open the gate for a Trojan pleb returning home from foraging and the army rushes in like the AI in a RTS. Our brains are RTS stupid. We have to be careful who we give attention to.

NYT trash. These 6 types are just masks Republicans put on to pretend they stand for sensible values when their actions prove otherwise.

For the ones that actually care about politics, their MO is some combination of own the libs and or increasing their party’s power by any means. Academics can break them down by which ones will and won’t vote for Trump in the primary, but that distinction is moot when +95% of them would vote for Trump over Jesus running as a Democrat.

Just call them a cult.

You believe pollster data proves it’s not a cult, like cult members would answer questions honestly? lulz

Unfair to compare democratic voters to republicans, democrats aren’t in a cult.

I live in Oklahoma, apparently better than Germany. Out-of-state corporations buy off our politicians. This means they get insane tax cuts among other sketchier tax schemes. Having low pay employees is one of our main draws for new businesses. Unemployment here is very low, but there isn’t much of a reason to stay in state when you are looking for a job. Our education system is getting worse and worse, good teachers leave the state every year and the leaders are doing jack shit to retain them.

This is Biden mistaking class solidarity with friendship because Democrats like him have to lie to themselves everytime they fuck over the many in service to the few.

Exactly how many Republican votes has Biden got for Democratic legislation? Have you ever watched a Republican primary? Bipartisanship is the easiest way to lose a Republican race.

Only liberals believe bipartisanship works both ways. I get it, I was liberal once. But I stopped reading liberal op-eds and now I don’t have this urge to blame everyone else when Biden does things that are unpopular with the majority of voters.
