“Turn out our own base”
what fucking turn out? They didn’t even offer their own voters anything.
The margins are narrow enough that it will be a 2016 style coin flip that’s decided by which way the independent voters break, and the normies are too pissed off at abortion bans and too annoyed by Trump to break for him again.
Unless Genocide Joe managed to completely alienate every Muslim voter in Michigan, and the Pennsylvania margin is narrow enough that the Supreme Court can do another judicial coup.
The plan for the war makes less sense every year.
The US navy doesn’t have the capacity to close the Taiwan straight anymore, so the idea now is to blockade the Singapore straight, 3000 kilometers to the south, and cut off Chinese shipping from the world markets… that is to say, the nation that doesn’t produce anything but excel spreadsheets thinks it can win a war by blocking the source of all the cheap goods that keep their consumer economies running.
This feels like a serious fuck up for the western media. They handwave the existence of their billionaire owners by saying that they don’t determine what gets printed , even though that’s an obvious lie , but now they’re on record with the billionaire owner putting his foot down for Trump.
Society is 12 hours of internet outage away from chaos.
It’s so funny to me that the centrist liberals can see the ground collapsing beneath them, but instead of spending any money on higher wages or building more housing, or doing anything at all to improve material conditions, they’re going with this pointless bullshit.
Liberalism hasn’t been a fighting religion for nearly a century now. No one is ever going to be inspired to fight for the collapsing status quo and the “common defense of the Constitution” (whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean) when half the country thinks the Feds are building FEMA death camps, and the other half recognizes the supreme court as an active threat that needs to be dismantled.
Robotaxi? Does Tesla do anything at this point except copy stuff that Chinese companies have been doing for years?
Well, I’m sure the Tesla version will cost 10x as much and have a triple digit bodycount in the first month.
It’s driven by the massive spike in the cost of living, especially the cost of food / housing / energy, which no party is interested in addressing, so yeah, it’s a fucking problem that isn’t going away.
