Aaah, as someone with a (just one!) tattoo, but also really don’t like the intrusive feeling of the needle (or w/e it when taking blood) or tubing under my skin (when I’ve gotten an IV) I felt like I may be able to explain the difference in discomfort. :) It is silly on its face though, definitely.

Also the one time I had an IV for anesthesia the nurse put it in the vein which I was like, ok, that’s a bit uncomfortable, but she then wiggled it around and went 'is it in?" which has kinda traumatized me since, I assume since I still remember it x-d
