There was a 50/50 split in the US Senate when the vaccine came out. Every member of that group was vaccinated. They were the first members of the population to be vaccinated. If any of the ancient senators had died, the balance of power would have shifted in a huge way.

Having two of the most charismatic Presidents in American history be democrats only separated by 8 years of the unmitigated failure that was GWB broke the GOP.
Clinton was a southern boy popular with blacks and racist whites alike. The GOP felt they had to go total scorched earth on him they were so frightened.
GWB was so bad he killed an entire ideology. His own brother couldn’t even run under his last name he was so toxic.
Obama was black, and the white people in the suburbs loved him. That subversive of ‘that natural order’ further drove the GOP into insanity.
I can’t even get into Trump, who is maybe the perfect reflection of what everyday conservatives have become, ignorant, stupid, and incredibly well off while whining about how they’re not well off enough.

Democrats are against free speech because people on twitter will tell me I’m being racist or sexist when I post funny jokes.
Republicans are pro free speech because they don’t ever tell me I’m a bigot, they just pass legislation that prevents me from publicly stating my political viewpoints that they do not agree with.
This is unironically how conservatives think.
These fears over population collapse are the weirdest form of mass hysteria I’ve ever seen.
I’ll always love their disbelief that we’re able to sus then out. They’re like reverse sovereign citizens in that they think if they avoid certain words or phrases it’s impossible to know their feelings.
There is something so weird about this. I don’t think these guys are trying to protect children, I think they are getting off on the roleplaying and using the ‘hunting predators’ thing as an excuse to justify it.
