I think the democrats handled this hilariously badly, and I have almost zero insight into American politics aside from what gets regurgitated over internet news sources.
If a primary was held, whi the hell would the candidates even be?
It’s unfair of me to assume, but I do assume that the average American voter knows even less about American politics than I do.
Harris was at least known. Walz even lost his own state, for fuck’s sake.
I think this perspective might be a part of the puzzle as to why this happened.
A lot of people seem to think Trump voters don’t know or understand what their vote goes towards, but I think that they not only do, but want that.
That, and almost half of voting eligible just didn’t show up, for many different reasons.
Although, I’m just some random Swedish dude, so what the hell do I know…

Did you ever consider that the American public might just be a bunch of spiteful, narcissistic, racist, misogynistic people?
Not “corrupted” by propaganda or a lack of education, but that you, collectively, made this choice - because you understand the consequences and what’s at stake, and you still made this choice?
