PS2… even though, during its last days, I had to stack half a set of encyclopedias on top to get it to run a game 😭

She 😁 she’s still very small even though she’s about 7 years old. For a better perspective, here she is sitting right behind our other cat, MC Hammer (who is also a girl, and a pretty average size)

There is a huge difference between wanting to kill people due to their “differences of opinion”/race/nationality/sexuality/religion/ect. and fighting to stop fascists from committing genocide or oppressing marginalized groups.

Fascists will never be interested in stopping to compromise or listen to reason.

Where can you reliably find an entry-level job that pays enough to cover cost of living in the US?

Saying the pay is “‘good’ for the area” means absolutely nothing, especially when the bar is as low as it is. Cities with a higher cost-of-living often have higher wages, but that doesn’t mean workers take home more money after expenses.

There are reasons why you see so many “now hiring” signs; odds are, they’re good reasons. What makes you think any of those jobs are better than what OOP has?

Sure, more hours could certainly make it a better job, just as long as the pay actually exceeds what they’re making now. After all, the federal minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 for the last 14 years.

This is also assuming that OOP appears qualified enough (but not too qualified) to the employer in question to get an offer in the first place. There are plenty of “entry level” jobs that demand a degree and several years of experience.

My point is that finding a better job is not only not guaranteed, but also means very little in a practical sense. Shitty jobs are the standard, particularly entry-level ones. Companies pay workers as little as possible and get away with it easily, and the lack of labor rights in this country is abysmal.

That’s also not considering other factors like schedule flexibility for parents, the worker’s physical/mental ability to do the job, their commuting options, company culture, ect.

This can almost be considered suicide, knowing how bad police are with restraint.

How is this not victim blaming?

“Have to”? That’s obviously more than up for debate, especially considering how many people protested.

God forbid they consider increasing taxes for the rich instead.
