What he said was exactly right, though. Third-Way Democrats like Clinton started adopting conservative views on austerity and taxes to try and emulate Regan’s success. In order to keep distinguishing themselves from their Democratic rivals, Republicans kept adopting further right economic and social policies. The end result of that rightward lurch is Trump.

The press didn’t miss it, they ignored it. Questions about his age have been dismissed or rejected since 2020, as though it’d somehow inappropriate to question the ability of an 80 year old to lead country. They never questioned why the President was doing so few unscripted appearances, or acknowledged some of his confused comments in press conferences. The pundit class even accused Jon Stewart of helping Trump for talking about this a few months ago.

Now that the entire country watched him have a 90 minute senior moment, the press is finally forced to give his fitness the scrutiny it deserves. And the worst part is that liberals are have convinced themselves that the problem isn’t that the media never asked these questions, but that they’ve finally started asking these questions.

Biden’s weak because he’s got a low approval rating, a high disapproval rating, he’s losing badly in every poll, and 80% of voters think he’s too old to be President. Being a strong candidate isn’t about how qualified or accomplished you are, it’s about how strong your electoral support is. To those who’ve been paying attention, Biden’s weakness has been apparent for years, and we’ve been raising alarms since he said he would seek reelection.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, Sanders seems to be much sharper at this point, but it would be a bad look and the centrists would throw a fit.

It’s really fun watching liberals devolve into MAGA-like conspiracies about the news media. Super good sign for the health of the party.

I love Sanders, but we can’t ask Biden to step down because of his age and replace him with someone slightly older.

Oh, you’re right, it’s the Borg Wiki, it just looks the same because they both run on Fandom. Still, there’s no reason to think that’s no longer cannon just because Destiny is no longer cannon. We never see borg weapons adapting to anything other than phasers and photon torpedos, and there’s lots of circumstantial evidence that they can’t adapt to other weapon types.
