Ugh. This has to be the least Star Trek Star Trek I’ve ever encountered, why is it so popular? It directly contradicts everything we know about the Star Trek universe at every opportunity.
Did you include space to mount magnets?
Any chance Linkbot could be modified to add OPINION tags to links to opinion articles, as opposed to news articles written by employees of the linked source? Online newspapers generally clearly label the difference.

- You generally never eat cow, because cows produce milk. When you eat beef, it is usually a steer.
- Sometimes English uses culinary names - pork for pig, calamari for squid, etc. The explanation for each is likely to be distinct, but e.g. for pork, that’s from Latin for pig (porcus) and for some arbitrary reason it stuck around. The answer is probably always going to be some variant on “it’s arbitrary”, though.
