Women in the U.S. now have fewer rights to their bodies than do corpses. So, unfortunately no, we aren’t worth the same as another human life or even a human death for that matter.

They can survive outside the womb at 6 months with the right kind of medical care (very high mortality rate, though) and the previous cutoff for abortion was around 5 months, so, yeah I guess someone did say that very thing at some point.

I hear ya! I don’t have a car, so I walk to/from work everyday or take the bus if I have to go further than I can walk. I was surprised to learn that some people thought I was being “holier-than-thou” by not driving. I’m not trying to be a “saint” or whatever, I just can’t fit a car and all its related expenses into my budget!

My apartment has one of those light fixtures in the living room and it uses a dimmer dial. I once tried to replace the incandescent bulbs with what seemed to be the LED equivalent that could be used with a dimmer, but it just didn’t work right. Lots of flickering. I hope this will convince my landlord to replace the fixture so I can finish changing everything to LED.
