The EHIC doesn’t cover things like a mountain rescue or being flown back to the your home country i.e. the most expensive and potentially life-ruining things, so travel insurance is still a good idea.

Totally understand this is the best possible option. I hope things eventually progress to a stable point where multiple large instances are employing anti-spam and moderation while being connected to each other. At the moment the Lemmyverse is becoming quite fragmented and it’ll confuse users when they can’t participate in certain communities because of it.

If you’re thinking it’s one of those “walk around to the next dot on the map” / “collectathon” type games, it’s definitely not. BotW was praised for changing the stale open world formula so that the world and exploring the world IS the game, and it’s extremely fun. You never know what you’re going to find. IMO, it captures a lot of the charm of what makes Zelda great. The world is big but none of it is wasted or generic. It’s well designed. You probably won’t like the dungeons though :)

That’s good to know. I wanted Japanese script and voice acting so I was trying Vita. Maybe I’ll wait for the Vita to be easily emulated…

I have tried to play Trails FC on Vita a couple of times and not got into it. I am sure it’s amazing but it’s one of those cases where the internet hypes it a lot, but that doesn’t mean everyone is going to like it. I am one of those people who talks to every NPC in the town so I thought I’d love it, but the beginning is slow, and the grid-based combat is pretty slow too. It doesn’t help that I’m 37 and kind of past playing 50 hours of a game I don’t like.

BOTW made such huge changes to the Zelda formula though! Why do you say that?

I sometimes boot up Curse of Monkey Island. It was my first proper adventure game. The voice acting, dialogue, music and art is still charming to this day.

It’s important to remember it’s early days. Things aren’t as smooth as reddit now, especially with Federation, but they’re going to improve.

Reddit was pretty unpolished when I joined 13? years ago. There is something awesome about being on a frontier where posts are getting 20 comments instead of 2,000. Everybody gets a chance to contribute and be heard.

Legendary Edition sounds good. ME2 is my favourite so not sure whether to start there or invest the 30 hours in playing ME1 first though.
