Maybe someone mumbled “they have hummus” and everyone else just rolled with it?

Oooh, I was ready to smash that downvote when I read the first sentence thinking you meant long covid was psychological and I’m glad you continued :)

“Hulk” isn’t exclusively male, why are you assuming an implied gender?

edit: I’m also one who laughs his ass off when kids swear. It’s so great

The best is when they do it in the appropriate situations too! Like an 8 year old throwing a ball and it bounces unexpectedly into a puddle and they let out a little “Well, shit.” in disappointment is the best.

Other kids started cursing regularly, and it became more socially cool. Same age as when I was a kid.

Some might have been intended as a slight aginst the person, or celebrating them, but it would always be after they were famous/infamous.

Glad to see The Day After Tomorrow mentioned, since it was my first thought.

I know there are others too, and this Twisters guy saying movies shouldn’t have a message sounds really out of place in Hollywood.

Most kids repeat swears to get a reaction.

My wife and I swore like sailors and just told the kiddo which words she shouldn’t repeat because they would upset other people, and that saying them at home would make it easier to slip up outside the home. We could do it because we had more practice.

It actually worked until middle school.
