Deathgames are fine, but the main problem I see is that in this game, the characters don’t seem to have much agency.
At least not so far.
A seemingly random A or B choice question shows up on a screen, and the characters live or die.
I’m sure this didn’t get the umpth most requested anime adaptation for no reason though.
A few more episodes to really be able to judge this…
Hmm.
This beginning is a standard “I have a useless skill that I’ve practiced so much that it’s now overpowered” fantasy plot.
The MC is vanilla, with a very understated understanding of his ability, e.g. the title is “I Parry A Cow”, when he’s fighting a 12 foot tall minotaur, but the writing and direction feel sincere so far.
Will this deliver anything that we haven’t seen before?

The direction was pretty good for a low-key story. I can see where they might have saved money going to cartoony action scenes for humor.
Not bad.
The MC seems a bit vanilla though, voicing nothing about her own desires and needs, instead serving as an axis for the two other characters to revolve around.
p.s. “kohai” means “junior”, it’s the opposite of “senpai”
Strong start for ToG in Japan! I thought Japanese were boycotting all manhwa adaptations, but this seems to have broken through…

Not particularly interesting, unless you’re really into this sort of thing.
Yeah, but you don’t cater to people with a fat-fetish by having the plot be basically “diet and work out so you can look good again”.
Unless it’s an excuse to put the fat girl in nekkid situations, and add more fat girl characters.
And have their clothes split and rip suggestively, as we saw in this episode.
