Reddit does have working niche communities though. If it’s too much you can always switch to a feed of nothing but shitposts and your hobbies. Here not so much

Yeah 196 and the star trek communities are consistently positive and fun, and I’m not even a trekkie (yet). Those two places are singlehandedly keeping lemmy from being too negative to be worth it for me
