It looks like Israel is not holding back and is and targeting civilians in Gaza on a wide scale. There are many videos going around of residential towers being reduced to rubble, and Israel is allegedly not even “roof knocking” before the strikes.
Edit: There is at least one video of a roof knock, which is admittedly somewhat of a relief.
I wish i had saved that graph going around right now that shows how uneven it always is. Gaza strikes a few buildings, knocks out a few windows and injures 6 Israelis and kills 1? Israeli takes out an apartment block in retaliation.
This only scales so I can only imagine the sort of genocide that might be about to happen if Israel goes ahead launches a land operation into Gaza

It’s not really a relief at all considering the actual strike supposedly usually comes within 3 to 5 minutes later.
Imagine living on the 10th floor and you are 78 years old with an 85 year old spouse, or a parent with four rowdy kids and your spouse is at work. 5 minutes go by really fucking fast when you actually need to do something important, let alone 3. There is no elevator because Israel only gives you electricity 4 hours a day so you have to use the stairs. There are also people living on the top floor directly beneath the roof being “knocked”.
The whole “roof knock” thing is bullshit propaganda the zionists push to make people think their genocide is “humane”.
Also how are you going to tell if it’s your building or the building next door getting knocked? Seems to just largely generate a panicked mass of people around what will be an uncontrolled demolition at best.
Really, it’s just entirely for the PR to an audience of people that have never been under fire from a better equipped military force.

No, that wasn’t missed. Israel has willingly created the environment where these sort of uprising occur. I don’t support killing random civilians, but under the current system, it’s what’s bound to happen.
Ideologically I’d rather Hamas weren’t killing civilians but materially theres no realistic way to avoid it considering the conditions they’ve been reduced to. They do not have the privileges of high precision modern technology, and Israel has been using civilians in its war on Palestine through aggressive settling. Civilians deaths became an inevitable result of Israel’s policies.
I’m not holding a professional army with access to modern Western weapons to the same bar as I am people living in a region that’s been completely blockaded for decades. Israel has better ISR, more precise munitions, and far more resources. They can do better to minimize civilian casualties.
This is something that’s lost on people. When Israel strikes Gaza, they do so knowing it’s one of the densest places on Earth and it’ll be be nigh-impossible to avoid hitting civilians.
That said, putting aside the conflict up to this point, while a gazan rocket is less precise than Israeli missiles, you don’t accidentally take Israeli civilians hostage in their own homes outside of Gaza.
