Should be “production” but often just referred to as “prod”. Meaning the actual website the character/author is trying to use rather than a developer/staging website.

“prod” remains “production” even if used as an adjective? Man, English really is weird sometimes. I’ll try to fix it later; I’m at work right now.

It’s a system that is in production, it is the product, a production system, not a system that is producing.

I suppose that is a very native English thing. Sorry! Hope that helps.

“Production” refers to the released version of the software. “Productive” can refer to how useful something is, so I guess a productive website would be one that you use for work.

Production/prod is a noun in this case. It’s the name of the system/environment. Converting the noun into an adjective just doesn’t make sense.

I know that but it’s odd the artist doesn’t. How can you write about IT and not know that?

Create post

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
