Because if you had you’d know that kids getting actual irreversible gender surgery are a vast minority of trans kids, yet Fox news acts and preaches that they’re somehow the vast majority. Most left leaning people (myself included) are also hesitant to against having someone under the age of 18 go through irreversible surgery.
Which you completely ignored because you only regurgitated what your talking points told you to. When really most of us simply want people to live freely, how they want to, without the government telling them what they can or can’t do. If a kid wants to wear a dress who cares? If a girl decides she would rather wear jeans and a tshirt and get a buzz cut literally who cares. That therapy around gender issues should be accessible to everyone, that’s the actual issue.
But keep listening to Fox news who tells you that we’re coming after kids with a scalpel while burning a bible. Seriously, read some other sources.
how many of these under 18 gets are getting surgery? I’ve never seen any stats on that. Probably because they don’t exist.
Best I can do is find some numbers about puberty blocker treatment, which is 17K kids over 5 years, so 3,000 kids a year are on these blockers, out of a population of 74 million.
There are definitely trans kids getting surgeries, it’s just in the hundreds value rather than thousands. 238 in 2019, 256 in 2020, and 282 in 2021 had top surgery.

Between 2000 and 2005, 72% of gender confirmation surgeries were bottom surgeries; from 2006 to 2011, that number increased to 84%. And the number of patients insured by Medicare or Medicaid seeking these procedures increased threefold between 2012-2013 and 2014.
The stats exist, people just don’t care enough to look for them.
