They can vocalise more than just their names, so if anything, they’re Digimon.
Idk i think that’s just how Pokemon moo or whatever and the names are onomatopoetic.
I don’t think this is true, there’s some Pokémon that speak normal language like meowth, lucario, legendaries etc…
Every human can talk because they were taught. Meowth couldn’t talk until he taught himself how(to try and impress a girl meowth 😭). Humans don’t teach their Pokemon to speak, and most don’t have the inclination to teach themselves. So for all we know every Pokemon is capable of human speech if they were taught.

I think they have normal animals as well as Pokemon in the Pokemon world though.

And then in Legends Arceus suddenly humans barely understood how to interact with Pokemon barely a few hundred years before modern times. What genius came up with that nonsense?
I feel like they’ve been forgoring since around gen 7. There’s been a weird shift in how the relationship between humans and Pokemon has been written for a while now and I don’t like it. But that’s a schizopost for another time.
