Me converting nazis:
Should isn’t even really the question, since could leftists “convert” nazis is already a no
Real chuds are lost. The other who simply have a phase might grow out of it as long as we keep putting publicly accessible resources that don’t have to cater specifically to them
I think if we spin it as a cult/a mental illness we could offer some empathetic support to people trying to escape. But yeah, other than that–and those types of people, a minority, will look for escape either way–we shouldn’t cater to them, agreed.
Easy answer is no. All you’re doing is allowing fascists the ability to hurt people who they otherwise wouldn’t be able to reach. What the left should be doing is weakening and defeating fascism as a concept, not trying to win fascists over to their side. The cryptofash ““left”” (perverted neolibs who call themselves leftists) are the ultimate proof of what happens when your strategy is to “convert nazis”
To put it bluntly, the more we can defeat fascism during times of peace, the less people will have to die once the bullets start to fly.
Short answer is no. The longer answer is that focusing on any niche political group is fundamentally misguided. It’s important to remember that the majority of people hold mainstream political views, often without deeply considered convictions. This is largely due to the fact that they’ve grown up with these beliefs and haven’t had cause to critically evaluate them. However, as economic conditions worsen and people become increasingly disillusioned with mainstream politics, they may be more open to considering alternative ideologies like communism.
Therefore, rather than focusing on a group that already holds a hostile ideology, it’s more effective for communists to target those who are open to new ideas and perspectives. While it may seem beneficial to try and deprogram nazis, it’s ultimately misguided and unlikely to produce desired results. Instead, the focus should be on those who are disillusioned with mainstream politics and open to considering new ideas - a group that’s far more likely to be receptive to communist ideology.
convert them to fertilizer, that way they’re useful
