It is possible you have ADD or ADHD. Just saying, because this is kind of a hallmark of those illnesses. Whether it’s defiance or lack of interest.
Being curious about science podcasts is not a hallmark of ADHD. It’s just a hallmark of people who like learning about science.
But being unable or disinterested in mandatory work versus being ultra interested in voluntary work; that is a hallmark symptom of both illnesses.
Yeah but you chose to watch that podcast, you didn’t have a choice on what you learned in school.
Not gonna lie very few teachers from my experience have the charisma in their teaching that an experienced Podcaster has on a topic.
I’ve had a couple for sure who I could listen for hours teach.
But many would just rattle off facts endlessly and wouldn’t really engage.
This is what has not been leveraged by almost any learning institution! The people that are explaining a concept to students for the first time and people who are good at answering questions while the student is practicing/digesting the information do not need to be the same people! This is how you increase the efficiency of education, you specialize roles.
to be fair, a podcaster only has to engage in the topic once, imagine repeating the same thing for years 6h+ every day
Also, a live performance in front of a hostile audience has special challenges.
Haha, this is so accurate.
Me watching a video about dishwasher pod inefficiencies:
