Police served a search warrant to the Marion County Record’s Joan Meyer, 98, after the paper’s investigation into local restaurateur
Kansas state patrol needs to step in and take over this situation, hopefully ending with the prosecution of the police chief for abuse of power and manslaughter. If they don’t act soon, the FBI needs to investigate both organizations.
Why would the state patrol possibly want to do anything about this? Cops are cops, and cops protect each other from perceived enemies.
Yes. But sometimes the shitbirds make enough shit that the shit starts to run uphill, and the staties get involved so some politicians don’t have to deal with even more shit.
What a shitshow. It sure sounds like the cops are trying to intimidate this newspaper… but the whole story sounds screwy.
Do you really get to keep your liquor license if you get a DUI? I’m not against problem drinking, doing some now… just not behind the wheel.
The irony that they were trying to keep it under wraps and now it’s a national story.
Horrible. These fascists need to be held accountable, including the judge who authorized such a flatly unconstitutional raid.
Weird, it was toggled on in my settings but I don’t remember checking it. I guess I thought it was for making bot accounts visible when I first signed up? Thanks for flagging.
I’m still this close 🤏 to calling for violence.
Not doing it yet.
But this close.
Big corporate hates attention about their practices. I was retaliated against and then crippled for raising concerns about my workplace. Corporate protected the store manager and the HR manager over the rape of an underaged cashier. Conservative corporations like The Home Depot need to be boycotted and shut down.
All corporations under capitalism are conservative. It takes a conservative’s level of hate for their fellow humans to exploit them like modern corporations do.
Frankly, corporations are rather authoritarian. You don’t get to vote on what decisions corporate is going to shove down everyones’ throat in most places. HR always protects the company before the employee, etc.
