This is a wonderful opportunity to teach your kids why they shouldn’t poop in the dishwasher: because now they have to clean it up.

Even if you end up spending just as long supervising them as you would have cleaning it yourself, it means that they have to suffer the consequences of their actions too. That’ll make them think twice next time.

The next panel should have the mom go back to their phone looking up new dishwashers and the return policy on children.

Honestly doesn’t seem like it would be the end of the world. A dishwasher should be able to break up some poop and wash it away.

Not the end of the world, but probably not the kind of “quality time with the kids” most parents hope for! 😝

So better than the microwave?

I feel confident in saying yes.

Disagree. A new Microwave is cheap and I’d feel 10 times better replacing whatever it was than just cleaning it. Even if it cost a bit more.

Needed to get a new microwave anyway.

if it has a sanitize feature, it would get hot enough to disinfect it too. Just run a couple empty washes with soap on the hottest, longest cycle and you’d be fine

I would just run it like ten times in a row.

Yeah, I think if you run it empty on the hottest setting a few times, it should be fine. Maybe some manual disinfection with alcohol inbetween. There might also be soecial soap you can use to clean it out

Gloves and respirator, hand wash all of the dishes one at a time, put them on the counter. Feel the sink full of hot water add bleach to proper disinfectant levels plus a little bit for sanity. Soak the dishes in the bleach water for 30 minutes. Hand rinse, hand dry, put them away.

Fresh sink of sanitizer

Take the baskets and filters out of the dishwasher, hose them off outside. Put any parts small enough to fit in the sink into the sanitizer. Disassemble the steam vent in the front spray it down with something bleach-based, If any parts can be safely removed and don’t have metal put them in the sanitizer too.

Use 409 or something bleach-based to spray out the inside of the tub and scrub it down with paper towels.

Put the baskets, filters and vents back in. Add a cup of vinegar and run a heavy duty cycle.

Have to make sure you don’t let bleach sit in the tub for too long it’ll destroy the seals and it can be rough on the circulation pump.

Not my first biohazard, probably not my last either.
