This is pretty rough - be warned. Difficult to overstate how shocking this was in 1991.

The add seems fine for me, just replace the fight with Cell Phones and you are good to go.

But in 2023 with all the movies with blood and gore, this being NSFW in 2023 is a bit over kill :) Never mind the fact here is the US we now get see children being shot for real in news casts :( And accidentally showing a certain body part in a sports event, you get banned for life.

I live in Australia, i dont recall this add but i grew up in the NT. Did they really have adds this long?

The on that is stil airing today is the motorcycle one where it shows old made grind down his foot after coming off the bike.

Hasnt made me go ATGAT though but i know that gravel rash feeling so well

When it launched i think it played full length, but various sections of it were clipped into smaller bits. Think this was national news when it aired the first time? Hazy memories

I still have PTSD from these ads. My first intestate trip was in the late 90’s , and I was gripping the steering wheel hard the whole way

I guess the ad worked then. If it saved even one person, it did its job.

Interesting to see that the organisation is still called the Victorian Accident Commission, despite the fact that road safety experts recommend against calling road crashes “accidents”.

I agree with the recommendation. They’re typically caused by driver negligence and/or bad road design.
