I was on Reddit 13 years and it’s unfortunate that it’s come to this. It looks to me like they’re trying to drum up BS arguments against the 3rd party app developers in order to discredit them and make Reddit seem less shitty for deciding to force people into their app. I’ll miss it, but I won’t support that kind of behavior.
I’ve owned a Pixel ever since 4 and am currently using a 6. This is a stable platform that keeps it’s charge for a long time and has solid performance. Are there improvements that could be made? Sure, the fingerprint reader doesn’t work well even if your fingers are just slightly dirty. The swipe from the edge as your “back” button can cause you to go back unintentionally. Overall though, there’s no bloatware from carrier or phone maker to contend with the OS. I’m not some fanboy, but am definitely sticking with this line. I think OP got a bad device or is loading something questionable.
This is the client I was using and it just won’t start anymore. I’ll try again later but guess I’ll try another client in the meantime.
Mine won’t start at all so I installed “connect for Lemmy.” It’s actually pretty slick and I don’t see the same errors.
Connect for Lemmy
Pretty slick so far
It’s good. You get accustomed to something, so there’s still a little loss there, but this platform has a lot of promise and I appreciate all of you who make it what it is!
Life is what you make it. Ever since people are going back into the office, the place is filled with pachyderms and smells like wild animals. You can’t tell me the hat is out of place.
