Everyone always forgets that modern warships are mobile missile shield systems. They provide a few hundred miles of interceptor coverage. China has assets in the region and over the past week there are multiple groups staging missile or rocket attacks on everything from infrastructure to military bases in a half dozen countries.

China undoubtedly remembers how the US dropped five JDAM guided bombs through the roof of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade.. Unlike decades ago, China has a modern navy and can position ships to prevent such US antics.

I immediately went to the sections on these two topics and was not disappointed.

Rampant US Theft of Intellectual Property and Data

The U.S. frequently accuses other members of stealing its intellectual property. However, in fact, the U.S. has been stealing other members’ trade secrets, data and undisclosed information through various means for a long time, seriously violating TRIPS Agreement’s basic principles on intellectual property protection, failing to fulfill its obligations under Article 39 of the TRIPS Agreement on the protection of undisclosed information, and posing a serious threat to the national or regional security of the victim members.

With a wide range of targets and high frequency of attacking, cyber attacks and telephone surveillance are major methods for the U.S. to steal other members’ secrets, data and information. According to statistics results from National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China, in the first half of 2021, the center captured about 23.07 million malicious program samples, with daily average transmission exceeding 5.82 million times, involving about 208,000 malicious program families, about half of which originated from the U.S. In September 2022, Northwestern Polytechnical University of China was attacked by the U.S. National Security Agency. The university’s core technical data, including critical network device configuration, network management data and operation and maintenance data, were stolen during the attack. Investigations have unveiled that the U.S. used 41 special cyber attack weapons for the attack. What’s more, the Tailored Access Operations under the U.S. National Security Agency has carried out tens of thousands of malicious cyber attacks on cyber targets in China over the years, taking control of relevant network equipment and obtaining large amounts of data. According to reports, the U.S. has also conducted monitoring and information theft of global broadcasting, telecommunications, and the Internet through related intelligence-gathering projects.

Rampant US Biopiracy

American biotechnology companies are notorious for their rampant engagement in “biopiracy”. Relying on its economic and technological advantages, American biotechnology companies commercially exploit genetic resources obtained at low cost from developing countries and apply for patent protection, so as to gain huge profits. In 1997, an agriculture enterprise in the U.S. applied for 20 patents after hybridizing basmati rice with an American long indica rice, which severely restricted the export of basmati rice from India. The top agriculture enterprises of the U.S. took advantage of the ineffective enforcement of international intellectual property rules and the weakness of developing members in the protection and utilization of intellectual property rights, wantonly stealing biological genetic resources, appropriating a large number of local excellent crop trait genes of developing members. For example, the U.S. applied a large number of patents around the world on the genes for high-yield traits of soybeans originating from China, and then monopolized the market by abusing its technology and market advantages. After the completion of patent registration, the U.S. agriculture enterprises in turn charged high patent fees from many members, including the members where the patented genetic resources originating from. Such biopiracy conduct seriously damages the intellectual property rights and food security of the developing members.

Funniest part is they got owned by either Somali fishermen or Houthi fighters. Also the US are such fkn hypocrites to scream about Yemenis interdictions off the coast of Yemen when the US has been covertly doing it in the same area for the past decade. This isn’t US waters, ridiculous. The US only ever talks about it when their SEAL teams get owned and there are too many questions.

Western consumerism has driven ever more individual identity and the fetishization of said identity. It’s no surprise that many are incapable of universalism, intersectionality, and larger class or social analysis.

Their issue wasn’t the hairstyle but blonde hair on someone with dark skin. Apparently it’s “unnatural”. Growing up mixed race black in the US, you run into this with a certain type of person. Evidence of misagination really bothers them.

Even that is giving too much credit to the US government narrative.

There literally are all the US mainstream news outlets like CBS News who actually had reporters there at the time: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/there-was-no-tiananmen-square-massacre/

Also from classified US communications with assets on the ground: https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/89BEIJING18828_a.html

Funniest thing is that “tank man” photo idiots spam on Reddit all the time. Most people in the west don’t realize there is video of it, that the guy didn’t get run over. Furthermore they assume he was blocking tanks heading towards the square, infact those tanks were at the time headed away from the square to avoid engaging with armed agitators (people with guns and grenades that had killed police) in a crowded environment. Dude was trying to make them go back.

The deaths that day were people who got gunned down by the “protestors” or the police who were killed when the “protestors” threw grenades (military ordnance) into police vehicles. People that were armed by the CIA as part of a color revolution operation, one that failed because it didn’t actually have any support and more importantly because the PLA commander on the scene ordered his units to leave the area rather than responding in kind. The only actual protestors that day were communists having labor protests happening nearby and not the dancing libertine youth acting as the face of the US color revolution operation involving armed groups trying unsuccessfully to provoke the PLA soliders into responding to deadly attacks with deadly force in a crowded urban environment.

Huh?! This is a shit take and mind bogglingly ignorant. Your logic is even flawed.

How are residuals controversial? In the arts it is standard performers, artists, and writers to get some form of royalty due to their work being so fungible.

If I’m paid to build a barn for a farmer, I’m not entitled to a percentage of the farmers profits every year he uses the barn. It’s his barn, I just worked to create it.

Exactly! It’s a barn and not a fully fungible product like a painting, photo, music, movie, television show, or book. The barns value is easy to determine and negotiate the price of up front. That farmer can’t take that barn the worker builds and copy it literally a billion times depending on how popular it turns out to be with farm livestock. If the farmer wants another barn, they have to hire the worker again.

With products of the arts the fair value of a performer, artist, or writers labor cannot be fully known until after the end product has been distributed and that determination of value is even further complicated by the product being fully fungible.

If I’m the camera guy on a movie, I don’t get residuals for years afterwards. I get paid for my labour and then move on to the next job.

For union projects, the producers, which is whoever is paying the crew at any given time, pays an additional percentage based on revenue into what is called the lAP. This is in addition to their nominal pension benefits.

To quote Mao Tse Tung:

NO INVESTIGATION, NO RIGHT TO SPEAK. Unless you have investigated a problem, you will be deprived of the right to speak on it.

They literally describe commerce, something that has existed all of recorded human history. They think that commerce and capitalism are synonymous. This is proof of how effective capitalist propaganda has been.

People don’t even associate capitalism with capital markets where ownership of productive capacity is commodified then bought and sold between owners totally alienated from production. It’s why they rant about how the problem is blackrock, vanguard, or wall street banks and fail to realize they are pointing at foundational institutions of capitalism that are working exactly as intended. Instead capitalism is apparently the very concept of markets and any market activity, basic commerce and trade that has existed in all economic systems not just capitalism.

Same people tend to think capitalism invented currency and if currency is involved, it’s capitalism happening… even though just like commerce, currency has existed all across human history where there is a sovereign, a city, or a state that can back its legitimacy as a store of value used in economic activity. Electronic transfers, paper notes, metal coins, colored beads… all the same.

You should repost this but instead of eyedrops compare it to the recent incident in 2021 when Abbott, the largest manufacturer of baby formula in the US, sold tainted formula that caused hundreds of infants to become ill and resulted in at least 9 confirmed infant deaths.

The US media didn’t say shit about the deaths and failed to mention that the FDA only discovered the issue from the findings of a CDC investigation of a string of infant deaths across the US. At least 9 infants died but none of the company leadership faced any criminal charges. Instead the CEO of Abbott received a 20 million dollar bonus that year.

“We now know that contrary to initial reports, nine babies who were fed Abbott powdered infant formula manufactured in their Sturgis, Michigan facility have died,” said Congresswoman DeLauro. This is heartbreaking and shameful. Many of these deaths could have likely been prevented if Abbott Nutrition and the FDA did not drag their feet to investigate credible allegations of substandard food safety practices at the plant. And what is deeply disturbing is the timeline in which these events unfolded.

"In February 2021, an entire year before the voluntary recall, Abbott and the FDA were alerted to allegations concerning problems at the Sturgis, Michigan manufacturing facility through a complaint filed by an employee. The problems included failing equipment in need of repair and formula released without adequate evidence that it was safe for consumption. Abbott confirmed receipt and submitted a formal response to the complaint two months later.

"Despite knowing this information, it was not until September 2021 that the FDA conducted a routine inspection of the facility and learned of the potential link between a specific rare and deadly foodborne pathogen and powdered infant formula manufactured by Abbott. At the same time, an infant in Minnesota given formula manufactured in Abbott’s Sturgis, Michigan facility was diagnosed with Cronobacter sakazakii. This was the first case reported
