If it’s not successful the button just shows a spinning working icon… forever. There’s no feedback to what’s going on. I had to reach out to the instance team who told me that the user name I was attempting to use was already taken.

It could just be because it’s a new domain. My nextdns setup was blocking it because of that.

To be fair pornhub had to nuke the majority of their user submitted content because they couldn’t evidence that it wasn’t illegal. I can understand a company that doesn’t actually want to be a porn site just blanket banning.
