The middle was a bit slow for me but I couldn’t put it down once I hit the second part.

The whatevers got a bit old but otherwise I loved the writing style.

It was good enough I don’t want to lend out my copy until I read it again. Which is rare for me.

I also learned a lot about myself from reading it. And picked up a few tips on shaving and passing (using eye makeup to draw attention away from facial hair and my Adam’s apple).

Movies and fiction would be good. I’m drowning in theory at the moment with Butler’s stuff.

Thanks. I’ll try a deeper angle.

I switched sites from my stomach to my thighs last time and that was a bit better.

I don’t have a lot of body fat so finding good spots is still a work in progress.

mild injection allergy

Subcutaneous injections are kinda itchy, like a deep mosquito bite.

Should I worry or talk to my Dr about switching formulations? My progress has been great so a mosquito bite isn’t a big deal. But I worry about having a worse reaction if my immune system isn’t liking the shots.

Finished Nevada yesterday.

Returned the Hannah Arendt book for Who’s Afraid of Gender. Which was what I actually wanted but it was under women’s studies, instead of philosophy with Judith’s other books. This time I asked the attendant if they had it.

Orange book is next on my list.

Do we have a trans media recommendation thread btw? I read the gender accelerationist manifesto, fucking trans women, watched I saw the TV glow, and now Nevada.

I just finished Nevada. Orange book is on my radar. Want to finish Who’s Afraid of Gender first.

Breathe/Be/Being by Psychic TV (the band that followed Throbbing Gristle) helped crack my egg.

I was 44. The same age as Genesis when they recorded that album and came out publicly.

I also loved Walk On the Wild Side. And a lot of Lou’s other songs.

Worked in many kitchens. Decreased sensitivity to burning is definitely a thing.
